  1. I recently have been very depressed and my doctor prescribed me generic lexapro. I feel like it’s helping me but my sex life is dead. If I try to masturbate with or without porn of any kind I can never achieve an orgasm no matter how long I try. Even when having actual sex with my girlfriend I still cannot orgasm. I still feel some sort of pleasure but it just won’t happen. It’s become pretty frustrating for us both. Do you have any advice about this situation? I don’t wanna go back to how I was without the medication but this really sucks.

    • Hi, Jeremy. I’m really glad you’re asking. This is not at all uncommon, and it’s a particularly unfair situation, isn’t it? I have a couple of questions first. Have you already talked to your doctor about a different anti-depressant? And are you currently in therapy?

  2. Hello, I hope this doesn’t sound weird, but I’ve never asked anything like this to anyone before. So, I hope I provide a decent question.

I’ve been kind of . . . trying to figure out what to do to be more in tune with my body. (Nothing wrong with me, but I’m just wanting to.) I’ve wanted to come up with ways to truly make my sessions more interesting or exhilarating, but I really don’t know much that I could do to not make it boring. Is it alright for me to ask what you think?

    Thank you.

    • Hi! First of all, this definitely doesn’t sound weird, and I’m glad that you asked. If I’m understanding you correctly, you’d like to work to be more in tune with your body by practicing something new while you masturbate? If you feel willing, would you say a bit about what’s made you aware of the possibility of being more in-tune? This doesn’t have to be anything “wrong” with you, as you mentioned. But what drew this to your attention?

      Cheers.

    • I’m still here to talk about this, so please feel free to say more if you’re still exploring answers.
